Week 3 - Broncos vs. Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jagaurs came to Denver expecting to use their all pro backfield of Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew to run the Broncos off the field. Taylor, who is closing in on 10,000 yards rushing for his career, had a couple of flashy moves but couldn't get the ground game going. Taylor was, however, the best running back on the field when compared to Selvin Young's poor performance while filling in for injured Travis Henry. Young did manage to get into the end zone, which neither running back from Jacksonville could muster.

After showing some quickness with his 60 yard kickoff return on the return after the half, Jones-Drew went down with what appeared to be a neck injury. Jones-Drew was carried off the field on a stretcher, but did show signs of movement. As much as we've seen horrible looking neck injuries this season, this one does not appear to be as severe as it first looked. Jacksonville will have more of the Jones-Drew injury as the week continues.

*Jay Cutler is our very impressive Offensive Player of the Game. Cutler set his career high in yards with 358 while completing 77% of his passes and connecting on 4 touchdowns. This is extremely hard to do when you are knocked down as many times as Cutler was, as he was sacked 7 times. *Jarvis Moss comes through again as our Defensive player of the Game. Moss had yet another great day as he collected 14 tackles, 9 for a loss and 4 sacks. Moss had 2 safties and 1 forced fumble for the second week in a row.
