Week 5 - Broncos vs. Chargers

Week 5 - Broncos 44 vs. Chargers 0

Travis Henry is finally off the IR after missing the last 3 games with a bad ankle. He would look to make a huge impact and take some of the weight off the young shoulders of quarterback Jay Cutler. Selvin Young, who had taken the starting role while Henry was absent, had only 1 touchdown and less than 50 yards combined in his three weeks as a starter. Ladanian Tomlinson of the Chargers aims to make this a battle of the backs as he and Henry face off in week 5.

Jarvis Moss Has Career Day on Defense

Jarvis Moss had his best game of the season in week 5 and held the explosive Chargers offense to a goose egg and just 16 total offensive yards. Philip Rivers did not complete a pass during the contest. Moss left the game with 21 tackles, 17 for a loss, and an NFL record 14 sacks. Moss also had a career record 3 sacks in a row in one defensive 3-and-out force. Moss has easily solidified himself as the best linebacker in the National Football League.

The Final Recap

*Travis Henry is our Offensive Player of the Game with 118 yards and two scores. He again took the work horse role as he carried the ball 15 times, including a 40 yard rumble in the first offensive series of the game. Henry did have one fumble which San Diego recovered, but the defense came up with a huge stop on third down to save the drive. *Jarvis Moss is obviously our choice for Defensive Player of the game and seriously may be our choice for Defensive Player of the Year already. Moss left the game with 21 tackles, 17 for a loss, and an NFL record 14 sacks. These are numbers that most defensive players don't have in a year, much less one game.----- Passing: Den: Jay Cutler 83% 262 yds. 4 TD (25)(45)(8)(70) 0 INT ----- SD: P.
